Overview

This Dubai desert safari tour will familiarise you with the fascinating desert life of the past.

Our safari captain will pick you up from your selected hotel or location, in a four-wheel drive vehicle. Then, you'll be whisked off to the Lahbab desert. During the hour-long drive, your guide will tell you how the present day Dubai was originally a fisherman village and the way it transformed into a trend-setting city. As you arrive in the desert, you will enjoy a quick break at the rest area for about 20-25 minutes. There you can stretch and avail bathroom/toilet facilities, whilst your vehicle gets its tyre pressures adjusted for the desert drive. As other convoys join your in on the fun, you can opt for a quick quad biking experience.

Soon the adventures begin with a dune drive in the Dubai desert. After 30 to 45 minutes of dune bashing, keep your thrills alive by giving the sport of sandboarding a go. Afterwards, we will proceed to the Al Khayma campsite.

At the Al Khayma camp, you'll be welcomed by a group of camels ready to take you for a spin. As you enter the campsite, our safari captain will show you the spots where all the fun activities take place and you will be lead to a table in front of your tent. There will be an unlimited supply of soft drinks in your tent and there you can also try on Arab attires Abaya and Kandora - respectively for ladies and gents. Whilst settling in, enjoy a warm cup of Gahwa, Gaymat (Arabian coffee & sweets) and juicy dates.

It’s now time for a ride atop the ‘Ship of the desert’ before admiring the sunset from the camp’s dedicated sunset dune. Remember to capture these beautiful moments in a photo. You can use your free time to explore the Al Khayma campsite and try out all the exciting Bedouin activities including the art of Henna hand painting, shisha smoking, meeting up with a falcon expert and posing with the majestic bird.

Now it’s time for a bit of local entertainment! The first to take the spotlight will be the incredible Tanoura dancer. Soon you will be invited to the barbecue dinner buffet. Fill up your plate and get ready for the next performance - the Nashaat show.

From thereon you can just sit back and relax the delicious food and treats, whilst recapping the fun-filled day. The camp lights will be turned off completely to set the tone for a peaceful desert night. Admire the vast sky and don't forget to make a wish in case you spot a falling star!

Finally, you will be dropped off back at your hotel/ selected location.
